Giorgio Rizzello is a qualified lawyer with experience in highly regulated sectors such as medical devices, chemicals, cosmetics, food and nanotechnologies.
In 2013, Giorgio joined the EMEA Law Department of Johnson & Johnson. In this role, he advises the company’s senior leadership on a range of regulatory, policy and compliance matters, focusing on value-based healthcare solutions, digital and sustainability.
Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Giorgio practiced law for 6 years in international law firms, gaining experience in complex litigations before the EU Court of Justice, and representing clients in negotiations with international regulatory authorities.
Giorgio is also the co-founder of Chemycal, a pioneering web-based tool that uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to monitor chemical regulatory systems around the world and anticipate regulatory changes.
Giorgio studied law in Italy, France and the UK.
