Peter A. Susser is the Global Practice Leader of Littler, the world’s largest labour & employment law practice, with 1,500 workplace attorneys based in 21 countries, including 500 labour & employment attorneys across Europe. Peter chairs the Firm’s International Employment & Labour Law Practice Group, and works regularly with global employers on workplace policies, legal/regulatory compliance and a broad range of legal matters. These include discrimination and harassment concerns, pay equity issues, trade union and other collective matters, occupational safety and health, workplace substance abuse, trade secret & restrictive covenant matters, employment contracts and a host of other employment-related concerns.
Peter earned his undergraduate degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University, his law degree from the College of William & Mary, and an LLM degree in Labour Law from the Georgetown University Law Center. He is the author of leading legal treatises such as Disability Discrimination and the Workplace(Bureau of National Affairs; 2005, 2011) and The Family and Medical Leave Handbook(BLR, 1993, 2020), and has published articles on workplace legal issues in the Harvard Business Review, as well as legal, industry and Human Resources publications. He is a member of the Bar in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, and is admitted to practice before many Federal and State courts in the U.S., including the United States Supreme Court.
