Katia Colitti is General Counsel Parcels & Logistics at bpost. She develops and coordinates execution of legal strategy on a broad range of complex commercial matters for a key growth business within the group.
Before joining bpost in 2018, Katia worked at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Washington, DC (2008-2012) and Brussels, Belgium (2012-2018). Her practice spanned all aspects of competition law in a broad range of industries, including high-tech, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, industrial products, construction, consumer goods, and chemicals. Between 2012 and 2016, Katia was a part-time secondee to the legal department of BHP, formerly known as BHP Billiton, a global mining and metals company.
Before joining Cleary Gottlieb, Katia was an associate at Ropes & Gray in Boston (2005-2007), focusing on competition, corporate, and real estate matters.
Katia was a judicial law clerk at the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts (2004-2005, Hon. Reginald C. Lindsay) and the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (2003-2004, Hon. Roderick L. Ireland).
Katia holds degrees from King’s College London (MA, Economics for Competition Law, with merit), Suffolk University Law School (JD, summa cum laude), and Assumption University (BA, Political Science, summa cum laude).
